The International Modena Club (IMC) is a nonprofit corporation affiliated with the National Pigeon Association and other Modena clubs worldwide. It was established to represent Modena pigeon hobbyists around the world in fellowship, breeding, maintenance, conditioning and exhibition of the Modena pigeon. The Modena hobby consists of an international community of hobbyists that encompass the globe. The IMC is devoted to these hobbyists, the further development of the Modena pigeon and the continued educational benefits associated with the breed. The IMC serves as a Modena resource and exhibition center for all Modena hobbyists worldwide. This site was developed for those that share a common interest in the breeding and exhibition of the Modena pigeon worldwide. It is a tribute to the individuals that have developed breeding programs over the years and were instrumental in the development of the Modena as we know it today. A great number of individuals are responsible for contributing photos, translation capability and other work to this site. Among those that have contributed the most are: Scott Brown (USA), Dave Cooke (USA), Jan Heldal (Norway), Raymond Julien (Canada), Reese Johnson (USA), Christophe Mathe (France), John Ross (Great Britain), Kobus Snyman (South Africa), Jim Vines (USA), Dennis Weyrauch (USA) and many others. The IMC also thanks Patrick Laval (France) for his outstanding work on the IMC CyberImage© that has taken much of his time. All of these efforts are greatly appreciated by the IMC and those that visit this website. Various literary works have inspired and been a part of the development of this Web page including, but not limited to The Modena Pigeon 1994 by Robert M. Pettit, and The Pigeon by Wendell M. Levi. I want to thank Mrs. Hazel Pettit for permission to reprint articles in the book The Modena Pigeon 1994. The IMC also owes a special thank you to Mr. George De La Nuez of Corona, California, for his permission to use his exquisite photographs on the IMC website. He is considered the premier pigeon photographer of winning birds for owners and magazines alike. The time necessary to load a page to your computer may vary depending on the speed of your computer's processor and/or modem. This site is best viewed at 1024 x 768 pixels of resolution. The IMC is always interested in new members. We invite you to share information about this site with others that may be interested in joining our organization. Please pass on our web address to your friends in the hobby.
